Claude AI Builds a FULLY Parametric Part in FreeCAD (Resizes to Any Size)

#ClaudeAI #FreeCAD #ParametricDesign
Claude AI can now build fully parametric parts in FreeCAD — and in this video, it models a complete IKEA Skadis pegboard that resizes to ANY dimension from a single spreadsheet. Change one number and the whole board rebuilds: 5×5, 10×10, 20×20, different thickness, slot size, spacing — all parametric, all through prompting. No manual modeling in FreeCAD at all.

This is the follow-up many of you asked for after the last video: REAL parametric modeling — proper PartDesign sketches and spreadsheet-driven expressions, not just boxes and booleans.

I’m using Claude Fable 5 through the FreeCAD MCP connector. Watch Claude hit real errors, diagnose FreeCAD’s classic “topological naming problem” on its own, restructure the model to survive resizing, and even catch a bug in its own work — then fix it. The finished board is exported as .3mf and sliced, ready for 3D printing.
